Sioux Falls needs no introduction when it comes to Sanaa’s but I love this gourmet Mediterranean restaurant so much that I have to reintroduce it, for the sake of any newcomers!

Sanaa’s is a popular local favorite that offers healthy, affordable gourmet cuisine, cooked daily from scratch. You can pop in for a quick meal or enjoy a ten-course buffet Friday night and Saturday during both lunch and dinner.

Owner, Sanaa Abourezk, opened her restaurant 11 years ago. Abourezk was born and raised in Damascus, Syria and migrated to Sioux Falls 20 years ago, when her husband wanted to move back home. She attended cooking school in Florence, Italy and the Cordon Bleu Baking School in Paris, France.

“I always enjoyed cooking and believe in healthy eating. When we moved to Sioux Falls, we could not find restaurant that served fresh cooked food and I wanted to provide people in Sioux Falls the option of eating healthy gourmet food on budget,” said Abourezk.

A woman of many talents, Abourezk has published four cookbooks, has her own YouTube channel, and blogs once a week.

“It is a lot of organization and takes a lot of my time but it is an interesting and rewarding way to stay in contact with our customers and to market the restaurant,” said Abourezk.

Sanaa’s offers a variety of traditional Mediterranean dishes, made with fresh ingredients each day. According to Abourezk, chicken shish tawook, tabbouli salad and their fatayers—stuffed pita pockets, are some of the most popular amongst the customers.

“People are attracted to Sanaa’s because they trust that the food is made from scratch every day using fresh ingredients and organic flours. We can address any allergy or need as well,” said Abourezk.

Sanaa Abourezk’s passion and determination as a gourmet chef, author, nutritionist, and blogger is so inspiring and her food is phenomenal. If you haven’t already, stop in to Sanaa’s and enjoy some of the best Middle Eastern food you will ever taste!
