Midwest Blessed, the Sioux Falls hip hop duo (Matthew Andal and Cory Foster), released their self-titled album this past December.

“This is by far the biggest stepping stone for the group; combining creative songwriting, sharp delivery and great instruments,” Andal said.

Production and beats were done by Joe Welch, Gavin Johnson and Dylan West.

Best of all? The album is available for free download through their Sound Cloud, Bandcamp or YouTube.

Their first video, “High Stakes,” was produced by EMURG Artist Services.

“The first time I heard Gavin play this instrumental, I immediately thought of poker. I began to picture a game of high stakes poker and to think of ways I could create a story that pitted Matt and I against each other. It wasn’t until I decided what cards would fall, in what order, and to whom they would fall, that the story started to come together,” said Cory Foster, who wrote the lyrics with Andal.
