Legendary things are happening in Watertown, specifically where Thunder Road used to be, according to Watertown entrepreneur Missy Sinner.
What was once the entertainment chain is now Legends after undergoing renovations and a rebrand. Sinner and her team saw something special in the business, she adds.
“We wanted to revive and modernize it for the community to enjoy for years to come,” said Missy. “We’ve remodeled the inside and will be making exterior improvements.”

Missy says Legends group of owners including her, Kyle Wiesner, Josh Hanson, Allen Fannin, and Dustin Sinner, are all dedicated to bringing something great to the area, now open year-round instead of just in the summer.
“We staff around 30 bright individuals who are truly outstanding, and we have selected kids who are leaders that we feel are excellent role models in the area,” said Missy. “They spend their time here making sure the families make lasting, positive memories.”
Missy says Legends aims to offer hours of amusement for both kids and parents. The remodel helped create an upscale atmosphere focused on fun, she adds.
PULL-TABS FOR NON-PROFITS
Legends is home to a pull tab machine. One hundred percent of the proceeds got to the Watertown Boys & Girls Club.

The remodel has been seamless, Missy reveals, and their team of contractors made the changes enjoyably come to fruition. Seeing the changes day by day was exciting for the whole team.
“It went as smoothly as it could have gone because of them and our amazing designer, Lori Storley, from HomeTown Building Center,” added Missy.
Legends is now home to a mini bowling alley and a lofted seating area. Every inch of the interior was painted, Missy says.
“We’re extra proud of the vibrant murals our co-owner Dustin Sinner painted for us,” continued Missy.
The Legends team has plans to continue making additional updates to those spaces as weather allows along with preserving the go kart track and outdoor mini golf areas.
“It has been amazing to see the community support in every aspect.”

Missy and her team aims to help families spend time together with less screen time and have more face-to-face interaction. Creating lasting memories is what Legends is all about.
With a variety of different food to choose from, customers won’t go hungry while enjoying experiences at the attraction.
“We serve also serve healthy snack options and SDSU Ice Cream,” said Missy. “We’re excited for the option to turn that ice cream into a ‘Legendary’ shake topped with an incredible amount of mouth-watering toppings.”
Her favorite dish is the Legendary Cheese Flight that includes cheese balls, cheese curds, and pepper jack cheese balls.

The vibes of Legends are defined by Missy as colorful in a mature way, upscale and industrial, overloaded with texture, exceptionally clean, and features photos of legends of all kinds.
Missy and her team hope Legends continues to be a staple in Watertown for many years to come, remaining top of mind for family entertainment catering to all ages. Spreading joy is the central focus.
They plan to host an outdoor concert each year in the grassy area that meets up with the Big Sioux River, Missy adds.
“One of our goals is to provide employment to many young community members and create a positive work experience for them where they learn the basics of customer service and the importance of having fun while working, relaying directly to the customer experience,” said Missy.
She continued, “Be ‘Legendary.’”
