Play hard. Speak easy.

Jack Rose Social Club has become a spot to “gather, gab, and game” in two locations in Sioux Falls—the first launching July 2024 at 69th Street and Western Avenue, and the newest opening September 2025 in The Steel District in uptown.

The brand itself was inspired by the prohibition era, specifically by the classic cocktail, the Jack Rose.

“Drawing from that time, we wanted to create a modern speakeasy-style space where guests can step away from the everyday and enjoy an elevated cocktail and dining experience,” said general manager Danica Schall.

“THE DÉCOR AT OUR STEEL DISTRICT LOCATION BLENDS A MODERN SPEAKEASY VIBE WITH ACCENTS PAYING HOMAGE TO OUR HOME IN SIOUX FALLS, SOUTH DAKOTA.”

The Jack Rose, featuring E&J Apple Brandy, fresh-squeezed lemon juice, grenadine, and dehydrated lemon has a fun twist with dry ice, giving it a dramatic flair. The Blush Bubbles martini also features dry ice, making it a hit for dates and a night out with friends.

“Our extensive cocktail menu is thoughtfully crafted to deliver an elevated drinking experience,” said Schall. “From martinis and Old Fashioneds to a wide range of creative classics and originals, our cocktail-forward approach is a defining element of what sets Jack Rose apart.”

Complementing the menu is a notable whiskey and bourbon collection, offering nearly 100 selections for guests to explore.

The chef-driven menu also has a wide variety, offering anything from seafood options to premium steaks to classic favorites like burgers and sandwiches.

LATE-NIGHT BITES

Jack Rose Social Club offers their full menu until midnight on Fridays and Saturdays at their Steel District location.

Appetizers include items like the Gnocchi Trio with lightly-fried gnocchi with pesto, vino blanc, and demi-glace sauces with a sliced baguette. Other highlights include the Edamame, Bacon Balsamic Brussels Sprouts, and Arancini.

“We’ve also got some unique plates you don’t see often, including Oysters in the Half Shell, Escargot, and our Sausage Board featuring buffalo, pheasant, and wild boar,” said Schall.

Celebrating “soup season?” Try the Soup Flight with French Onion, Tomato Bisque, and the Soup Du Jour.

Handhelds include items like the Jack Rose Burger, Langostino Lobster Roll, and Big Island Chicken Sandwich. Restaurant favorites have options like the Lobster Linguine, Jerk Mahi Mahi, and Speak Easy Stacker. Schall’s go-to is the Parmesan Crusted Chicken with the Commonwealth Wedge Salad as a close second.

“It’s a well-rounded meal served with lightly crusted and perfectly golden fried chicken next to our Boursin mashed potatoes, your choice of asparagus or green beans (my favorite), and topped with our house-made vin blanc sauce,” she described. “Hits the spot every time!”

The Social Club Dip is one of their best sellers with prime rib, swiss cheese, onion strings, blue cheese, garlic mushrooms, and a toasted hoagie with a side of au jus.

“The Steak Alfredo and Parmesan Chicken are fan favorites as well,” said Schall.

MUSIC TO YOUR EARS

In the past, Jack Rose Social Club has brought in a variety of talented local artists to play live music at the 69th Street location. Follow their Facebook for potential upcoming events.

While it was short-lived in 2025, the newest Jack Rose Social Club opened their extensive patio with great views of The Steel District and other sights. The outdoor area seats about 75 patrons and features two fireplaces, “keeping guests cozy well into the evening.”

“During the warmer months, our patio was lively and full of energy, and we’re already counting down the days until we can open it again,” said Schall. “In addition, we offer a private patio overlooking the Levitt at the Falls, which accommodates around 25 guests.”
