When Logan Koopman launched The Agency Recruiting as a boutique recruiting agency in Sioux Falls in 2023, he says it was founded on an entrepreneurial spirit and a track record of recruiting success.

EARLY SUCCESS
Koopman gives credit to his wife, Jaiden, for igniting his early success as an entrepreneur. The couple welcomed their first child into the world in May of 2025.

CREATING COMMUNITY
While The Agency serves clients across the country, this year they focused on local efforts. This has included partnering with local businesses for job placements and consulting, joining the Greater Sioux Falls Chamber of Commerce, and finding ways to get involved in the community.
“One of our first efforts was hosting a food truck event in our parking lot, which was a fun way to meet people and connect with the community over great food,” said Koopman. “As we continue to expand in Sioux Falls, give back to the community, and help local businesses, we are excited to see those relationships strengthen and the impact we can make together.”



“Our goal is to realize exponential growth that allows us to deliver impact for our clients, candidates, and community. We have some big plans as a company, and we can’t achieve those without first adding value to those who work with us,” said Koopman. “In our current stage of business, we are refining our process, simplifying it, and then scaling it. it. As a team, we aim to double our revenue year over year, which we’re on pace for in 2025.”
Koopman says while success continues to project upwards, the company isn’t willing to sacrifice the quality of their service for growth “just for the sake of growth.”
As of 605’s October publication date, The Agency has 26 on their team and are actively hiring to have over 30 people before year’s end.

Speaking of team and company growth, The Agency hired two marketing professionals in 2025, collaborating with them on a fresh brand identity.

The team utilizes their talents to help businesses and candidates excel.
“Our focus in supporting clients’ growth lies in identifying where value is created for their business,” explained Koopman. “This value often emerges by resolving operational bottlenecks, leading to increased revenue, enhanced capacity, or significant cost savings, frequently through the strategic addition of talent.”
An example he gave for reference was a local CPA firm with 20 team members, each working 65 hours per week from January 1 to April 20, yet still filing 30% of tax returns late despite extension requests.
“Constrained by this workload, the firm cannot accept new clients,” said Koopman. “By partnering with us to recruit one to three additional tax
professionals, the firm can expand its client base, boosting revenue almost immediately.”
The Agency also helps individuals by opening doors to unadvertised job opportunities, introducing them to client firms and companies they may not have known existed, and boosting their earnings, says Koopman.
“We also support their career advancement through title promotions, we assist with coaching on negotiation tactics, and we provide expert interview preparation to ensure success,” he said.
So far in 2025, The Agency has generated approximately $28 million in value for their candidates and clients.
