Trista Pourier started out as a health and wellness coach in 2021 with one goal in mind: to heal her own body.

“I was navigating Hashimoto’s, severe IBS, and depression, and I felt deeply that I could reverse these issues naturally—I just needed the right guidance,” revealed Pourier.

Specializing in hormone imbalances and autoimmune symptoms, Pourier has coached over 500 women and hosted four wellness events.

She realized there was still a gap in guidance. Women were still in need of support and education outside of the structured programs Pourier offers. From there, the Untamed Wellness podcast was born along with The Untamed Wellness Society.

“The podcast became a space where I could guide my clients and women everywhere through the deeper conversations around hormones, healing, and true lifestyle wellness,” added Pourier.

Her wellness society is designed to give women continuous support through monthly coaching calls, special access to additional educational resources, community, guest experts, and much more.

Untamed Wellness continued to evolve into a ritual-based product line complete with hormone support teas, restorative bath soaks, and facial serums.

Pourier hopes no matter how busy life gets, these rituals and points of care help women reconnect with themselves and feel supported as they heal, creating community and space to learn.

“We’re changing the health story for the next generation,” said Pourier. “I want women to have the education they should have always had so they can feel strong, supported, and capable as they move through every season of life.”

One of her favorite places to teach is her in-person wellness summit where women across the states come together to listen to Pourier and other guest speakers.

The Trista Pourier Women’s Health Summit has been a hit year after year since it first began, formerly named The Wholesome Life Wellness Workshop.

It is a space for women to come together in community and learn what it takes to heal their bodies regardless of the stage in life, Pourier says.

The health summit covers hormone health, cycle syncing, nervous system support, digestive health, regenerative beauty, and more related topics.

“It’s the heart of everything I teach and the big vision behind my work,” elaborated Pourier.

What’s your inspiration?

My inspiration comes from generational wellness. I’ve seen firsthand how a woman’s health shapes everything—her energy, her mood, her hormones, her home, and ultimately, her children. When women don’t have the tools, support, or education they deserve, their whole family feels it. When women do heal, the ripple effect is unbelievable… When you support a woman’s health, you support her whole lineage. That’s what keeps me going. That’s why I do this work.

What does your Health Summit cover and how does it address women’s health?

The Trista Pourier Women’s Health Summit gives women a clear, grounded understanding of their hormones, gut health, stress, and cycle so they can finally feel aligned in their bodies. We cover the most overlooked areas of women’s health—hormones, metabolism, mood, digestion, and daily lifestyle habits—through simple, science-backed education.

The summit helps women understand what their symptoms mean, how their bodies actually work, and the practical steps they can take to feel better every day. My goal is for every woman to leave feeling educated, empowered, and supported in her wellness journey.

How would you define healing?

To me, healing is coming back to yourself. It’s that moment when your body finally feels like your body again, not something you’re fighting with every day. Healing isn’t perfect or pretty–it’s messy, it’s slow, and it happens in tiny moments that build over time. Healing is when a woman starts showing up for her life again. When she’s laughing more, thinking more clearly, feeling confident in her choices, feeling connected to her body, and not constantly running on empty.

Why is health and wellness education important?

Health and wellness education matters because you can’t heal what you don’t understand. Most women were never taught how their hormones, cycles, stress, or digestion actually work so they’ve been trying to “fix” themselves without the right guidance. Education gives women their power back.

What do you love most about what you do?

I love the moment when something clicks, when she realizes her body isn’t broken, she just needs the right support and education. Seeing that confidence grow, that trust in her body return, and that spark come back in her eyes—that is everything to me.

What’s your favorite thing about South Dakota?

How easy it is to get outside and feel grounded. I love rock climbing and hiking—anything that gets me into the Black Hills where it’s quiet and beautiful. There’s something about being on a trail or up on a rock face that resets my whole nervous system. A day of hiking followed by dinner at Skogen Kitchen in Custer is perfection in my world.
