“Winter always gets to be long in South Dakota, and I believe everyone is ready to go outside and soak in nice weather,” said Karla Hjellming, social media marketing manager of Tinner’s Public House.

In the midst of various plants and trees, guests can relax with their meal next to the patio fire pits, listening to music that is accompanied by the constant trickle of a waterfall.

She says it creates a “calm and welcoming vibe” to pair with dinner.

“Tinner’s has the perfect patio for people to unwind and enjoy time with others because it does a great job at bringing the natural elements to our guests,” she said.

And in the warmth of the sun, umbrellas provide some shade and relief from the heat of the rays.

“Adding the live music ties it all together, creating the perfect atmosphere to enjoy with friends and family,” said Hjellming. “The lineup this year is an eclectic mix of musicians, all being exceptionally talented.”

“Local artist Denham is bringing his skillful set for a few late-night performances that are sure to bring a great audience,” she added.

From the R&B beats of Denham to the pop and country lyrics of keyboardist Janae Sturma, there’s a variety of genres and styles to listen to.

“They all are unique and bring their own distinct energy to the patio,” she said.

Hjellming continued, “This year, the lineup is a blend of new musicians along with fan favorites. They incorporate audience involvement in their sets, which has helped us gain numerous returning customers.”

She adds that Elisabeth Hunstad is highly anticipated with her piano and vocal performances. Singing songs with all sorts of genres including pop, folk, rock, and country, Hunstad never limits herself.

“Hunstad is one of our customer’s most enjoyed performers because she brings great enthusiasm with her piano and crowd involvement,” said Hjellming.

Hunstad performs with her soulful, emotion-filled music seven times throughout the patio’s season, so there’s plenty of opportunity to check her out.

“We also have Chris Pohlson returning this summer,” said Hjellming.

Pohlson’s music is influenced by the likes of John Mayer, Grateful Dead, and Tim O’Brien. Listen to him play the crowd May 21, June 23, and August 18.

Singer and songwriter Jordan Jaacks will take the patio on May 30 and August 1. His motto says that he likes to “keep it simple” and “keep it real” with his music. Other performers include Lexi McGee, Betty Danger, and more.
