Airbnb was found in August of 2008 in San Francisco, California as a way for people to list and book accommodations around the world. While there are many ways to utilize the website and app, it is best known as a way to book or host a unique home – homes typically owned by someone. From staying in a “seashell house” in Isla Mujeres, Mexico to spending a week in a tree house in Atlanta, Georgia to overnight in a college student’s bedroom while he’s sleeping in the room across the house, no two places or experiences are the same.
