Knit the Pavil-YARN is a full scale yarnbombing of the outside of the Washington Pavilion. This kinder, gentler, elderly/hipster-esque version of street art bolding transforms objects in public spaces with colorful and fuzzy knitted and crocheted wrappings.

Sioux Falls is invited to help wrap as many objects on the Pavilion campus as possible. They are collecting knitted and crocheted materials any sizes, hand or machine-knit (acrylic and acrylic blends are best). The Pavilion is also collecting yarn, hooks, and needles. Donations are accepted during regular business hours.

Installation will begin March 2013 and display through the Sidewalk Arts Festival in September of 2013.

Join this yarnbombing brigade or check out the action at their free First Friday Crochet/Knit-ins. These will take place Feb. 1, March 1, and a April 5 from 5-8 p.m.
