OKTOBERFEST IN DEADWOOD

October 4-6. Downtown, Deadwood. Time vary. When the people of Deadwood throw a party, they make sure it’s one to remember. Starting with Polkafest and ending with the 12th annual Beer Barrel Games, celebrate everything German, beer, and polka; not to mention the popular wiener dog races. More info: deadwood.com.

2018 HARVEST HOP

October 5. Spearfish City Park Pavilion, Spearfish. 6 p.m. This annual event is the product of the community coming together in fundraising bliss. Join special gust Dalyce Sellers to raise money for Good Shepherd Clinic, Inc. and enjoy entertainment by Gordy Pratt. More info: deadwood.com.

2018 BLACK HILLS POWWOW

October 5-7. Rushmore Plaza Civic Center, Rapid City. Times vary. The 32nd Annual Black Hills Powwow has one very important goal and that is to make everyone feel welcome and to honor the song and dance of the Great Plains. Celebrate via a signing contest, fine arts show, and all things American Indian culture with thousands of people from across the country. More info: blackhillspowwow.com.

OCTOBER ART & WINE WALK

October 5. Downtown, Sioux Falls. 5 p.m. Sponsored by Avera Health to promote Breast Cancer Awareness Month, downtown will be filled with local artists, their incredible art, and punch cards that allot 10 samples of wine. More info: siouxfallsevents.com.

BIERBÖRSE

October 6. Main Street Square, Rapid City. 12 p.m. Celebrate October in the most German way possible. This 605 Magazine sponsored event will offer beer tastings, live music, and a stein holding competition.
