TRAMPLED BY TURTLES

January 18. Washington Pavilion of Arts and Science, Sioux Falls. 7:30 p.m. Welcome these bluegrass wonders back to the Midwest for night of feel-good jams. MEDIA ONE FUNSKI

January 18-19. Great Bear Ski Valley, Sioux Falls. Times vary. From snow sculptures to rail jams, this weekend encourages outdoor fun while raising money for Children’s Inn. WINTERFEST

January 18-20. Various locations, Lead. All day. Head to the Black Hills for all things snow. Ice skating, snowmobiling, snowshoe hikes, and much more make up Winterfest. Don’t forget the kids and the furry friends, for the entire event is family friendly, and includes a bonfire to warm up before heading out to celebrate the joys that winter brings. More info: leadmethere.org.

TRI-COMPANY INVITATIONAL DART TOURNAMENT

January 18-20. Swiftel Center, Brookings. Times vary. 23 years and hundreds of bullseyes later, this is one of the most recognized state dart tournament. Get ready of two days of singles, doubles, and team competition, with the chance to win a multitude of prizes. More info: swiftelcenter.com.

BURNING BEETLE

January 19. Various locations, Custer. 4 p.m. Burning Beetle is a community event that focuses on the local art scene and the community’s involvement with the environment. There will be a talent show, fireworks, a live music pub crawl, and the infamous beetle burn. More info: facebook.com.
