BLACK HILLS FILM FESTIVAL

May 1-5. Various locations, Black Hills. Times vary. Join the Black Hills Film Festival for the 10th year of celebrating local directors, great stories, and ground-breaking films. Check out films like Neverland, Wild Prairie Rose, and Dinner, all while supporting the local arts. More info: blackhillsfilmfestival.org.

ART & WINE WALK

May 3. Various locations, Sioux Falls. 5 p.m. The time has come for the first Art & Wine Walk of the summer season. Make your way through downtown Sioux Falls while sipping wine and enjoying a variety of artists and their art. More info: dtsf.com.

MAY EASTBANK BLOCK PARTY

May 4. 8th & Railroad, Sioux Falls. 5:30 p.m. While downtown is no stranger to block parties, this will be the first one to take place in May. Live music from Denham, The Maytags, and more will kick off summer in downtown Sioux Falls. Don’t forget to try all of the local beer and unique shopping 8th & Railroad has to offer. GEAR & BEER 3

May 4. Great Outdoor Store, Sioux Falls. 11 a.m. The return of summer means the return of summer gear. Stop by to check out the newest gear, listen to experienced speakers talk about travel and equipment, and sample beers from local breweries like Woodgrain, Remedy, and Fernson. FRÃœHLINGSFEST AND SPRING MARKET

May 4. Main Street Square, Rapid City. 11 a.m. Celebrating its 6th year, this spring festival will combine specialty goods and local handmade artwork. Live music by Trevor Ohlsen will fill the air as visitor enjoy beers from breweries like Crow Peak Brewing Co. and Dakota Point Brewing.
