As 605 Magazine is a publication, website, and brand that highlights and promotes South Dakota, the team wants to do our part to ensure that one of our state’s most important industries is affected as little as possible during the ongoing COVID-19 crisis. The tourism industry will undoubtedly feel some downturn by limited international and national travel that will reverberate into the core tourism season this year.
The (local) upside? When bleak times start subsiding and people leave their homes, they’ll jump in their car for a road trip and want to experience their state as much as possible.

605 has decided to offer a program that will allow any South Dakota tourism-related business a way to reach our statewide audience that will have the highest likelihood of coming to visit attractions and establishments, the earliest, when this situation calms down. We are offering a substantially reduced rate on advertising with 605 Magazine, and the team will continue to encourage South Dakotans to stay in the state this summer and fall and to spend money where it counts.
In the meantime, 605 will proudly continue to promote and celebrate the people and businesses of South Dakota.
