2.) Mount Rushmore Fireworks Celebration

Mount Rushmore National Memorial will be hosting an Independence Day celebration a day early. On the evening of July 3, fireworks will be shot off over the stone faces carved into the South Dakota must-see. The event will be limited to lottery winners to maintain the safety and success of the event.. 


3.) Custer’s Old Time Country Fourth of July Celebration

Spend the Fourth of July in Custer, experiencing live bands, family-friendly games, a Children’s Fair, an Arts and Crafts Fair, and parades. And don’t miss fireworks over the city.


4.) PBR: Monster Energy Team Challenge Championships

Sioux Falls | Denny Sanford PREMIER Center | July 10-12

Get tickets to see professional bull riders at the Denny Sanford PREMIER Center. The PBR is the tail endof a 40-hour televised competition starting in Las Vegas on July 5. Featuring 48 of the top bull riders, the championship will be a weekend-long event. During that time, special measures will be taken to ensure distance and safety for fans. 


5.) Second Chance Prom

Watertown | Country Road Barn | 5pm | July 11

Twirl into the Codington County Cares Cancer Foundation Second Chance Prom. Wine and dine, participate in both a silent and live auction, and dance the night away. Funding for the event will help provide financial support for cancer patients.


6.) 34th Annual Spearfish Canyon Half Marathon & 5K 

Spearfish | July 12

Earn a medal for participating solo in the 34th Annual Spearfish Canyon Half Marathon, or choose to be a hero for a child in the HEROES 5K Run/Walk with a team. The race is a fundraiser to fight against child abuse with the Northern Hills Area CASA Program.
