“We’ll have DJ Jer hosting his amazing Block Party on the stage of the Mary W. Sommervold Hall,” said Allyson Kasch, events sales manager at the Pavilion.

Hourly throughout the event, DJ Jer will host special versions on various game shows seen on TV.

“We will have games like Family Feud, Wheel of Fortune, Take It or Leave It, 20 Second Challenge, Beat the Clock, Say What, and more,” said owner of DJ Jer Events & Lighting Design Jeremy Brech.

“The [game show] hosts are fun and interactive and will give guests a truly engaging experience,” Brech continued.

DJ Jer (Jeremy Brech) will host an array of games.

Musician Phil Baker, balloon artist Mr. Twister, and various characters will be joining DJ Jer.

Kids can get involved and learn about the world through Phil Baker’s Music for a Kid’s Life at three different times throughout the event.

Be sure to catch Mr. Twister for your own balloon animal or a wonky hat.

“This is a social-safe, all-age family fun game show with lots of laughs and fun activities.” -Jeremy Brech

“It will truly be an all-ages, socially distanced gaming extravaganza,” said Kasch.

In the lobbies, experience solving an Escape 605 Escape Crate, zone in on a console, and get to know various princesses or the Pavilion’s own Radley Rex.

Channel your inner bowling champion for inflatable bowling, and prepare to meet various animals with the ZooMobile from the Great Plains Zoo.

More games will be set up by Average Joe Gaming and the City of Sioux Falls Parks and Recreation.

Play on Podcast

Tune in to Average Joe’s Gaming podcast all about “gaming for the average Joe.” Listen in on talk around a board, cards, and dice.

If that’s not enough gaming excitement, book the Wells Fargo CineDome for your own video gaming party, taking 50% off while the event is happening.

“When you book the CineDome, you rent the space, then you bring your favorite console, games and friends,” said Kasch. “It’s an experience unique to you.”

Cater each experience during Family Game Day for whatever works best for you.
