In 2018, Kim Moir, Christina Rohde, and Deborah Garcia opened their fashion boutique Good Karma Couture, but felt it was missing something unique.
“We started with a boutique, but wanted another way to bring in customers,” said Moir. “We thought a coffee shop would be perfect.”
When a previous coffee shop location became available in downtown Hot Springs, Moir says that she and her business associates jumped at the opportunity to move their business.
Good Karma Couture then transformed into Mornin’ Sunshine Coffee House & Catering. Here, customers can indulge in various breakfast and lunch items and delicious specialty coffees.

Start the morning off right with sweet or savory items, including French Toast, Waffles, Avocado Toast, and Breakfast Burritos.
For a more personalized experience, choose customizable options, such as Build Your Own Breakfast Sandwich and Build Your Own Omelette.
For lunch choose between a variety of sandwiches like the Grilled Chicken Pesto Sandwich, Pizza Bagel Sandwich, Bacon Turkey Cheddar Melt, or a Classic BLT.

I enjoy checking out all the unique and local boutiques throughout the Black Hills. My favorites are The Junk Drawer (Spearfish), Kathleen’s Boutique (Spearfish), Designs By Delise (Hot Springs), and any local farmhouse boutiques.
Flights of Wine
I love visiting local wineries and trying their selection of wine. I frequent Belle Joli Winery Sparkling House in Sturgis because of the small, quaint, and unique atmosphere.
Extrordinary Events
I enjoy creating and hosting events. I love being able to create something that brings families together in my community and surrounding areas. I’ve created the Black Hills Color Run, Dakota Mud Run, and New Year’s Family Bash—just to name a few.
