The 605 Show is back again from Thinker Networks and joined by Tina Erickson from South Dakota Pork Producers Council and Jess Danko from South Dakota Foundation for Medical Care

Hosts Dan Card and Alana Snyder discuss several events for spooky season like Deadweird, The Haunting of Keystone, and Yankton Harvest Halloween. Dan reveals that he currently has no Halloween costume, but is open to suggestions.

Dan and Alana welcomed Tina, Director of Membership, Outreach and Engagement at SD Pork, who spent 30 years in healthcare before joining the pork world. October is National Pork Month, and Tina shares that her favorite cut is the pork loin, as well as that South Dakota is ranked 8th-9th for pork production in the United States. If you are wondering how to support the South Dakota Pork Producers Council, eat more pork.

Jess Danko joined the conversation to discuss how October means cold and flu season. Prevention is as simple as washing your hands, using hand sanitizer, and being careful about when you go to work and when you stay home. Dan and Alana dream about starting a band called The Re-Occuring Pneumonias while Jess explains other initiatives with the organization, such as their current anti-vaping campaign, and how Respiratory Care Week occurs in October.

Join Dan, Alana, Jess, and Tina for a game of “Pig Your Poison” where the crew must use their best judgment to discern what is a pig disease and what is a human disease.

A special thanks to our guests, Thinker Networks, and to our viewers!
