When McNally’s Irish Pub re-opened with new owners at 6211 S. Old Village Place in June 2025, it kept its successful charm with minor adjustments and additions.

Along with adding some booths and taking down some partitions by the bar area, the Sioux Falls restaurant created 15 new food items.

“We also refined some of the classics, added new dimensions of flavor—like house-smoked corned beef—and completely redesigned the menu,” said general manager Josh Jacobson.

The food menu is appetizer forward, while also offering plenty of salad, sandwich, burger, and entrée options.

Chef Matt Muntefering has been busy creating features utilizing the house-smoked corned beef, including the Corned Beef Wellington appetizer (flaky puff pastry bites filled with house-smoked corned beef, swiss, sauerkraut, and drizzled with 1000 Island) and the Smoked Reuben (house-smoked corned beef, pickled cabbage, alpine swiss, and 1000 Island on toasted marble rye).

Alongside the Corned Beef Wellington are six other new appetizers, like the Walleye Cakes and House-Smoked Chicken Wings. The wings are served with fries, toast, and choice of dipping sauce, with options to order it with a sauce (Mild Asian Zing, Texas Pete Buffalo, Garlic Parmesan, Hot Honey BBQ, and Honey Mustard) or dry rub (Memphis BBQ, Garlic Rosemary & Lemon, Herbed Mesquite, and Ginger Teriyaki).

McNally’s also added Short Rib Nachos with crispy corn tortillas with tender braised short rib, Smithwick’s beer cheese, pepper jack, fresh jalapeños, diced tomato, arugula chimichurri, and lemon crema. While it’s not listed, the popular Irish Nachos are still available.

“Although you won’t see them on the menu, just ask your server and we’ll happily make them,” said Jacobson.

After originally removing it from the menu, the Wasabi Deviled Eggs and Guinness Mussels have made a triumphant return after customer demand.

The drink menu is a consolidation of cocktails from years past and some new sips. Patrons can rely on popular items of the past like a pint of Guinness, a Whistling Grasshopper, or a McNally’s Old Fashioned.

“As for our seasonal drink menus, I tend to believe that less is more,” said Jacobson.

Management focuses on a handful of unique cocktails “that drink well with the season and all offer something different.” The latest includes the Lavender Cloud (Monkey 47, vanilla vodka, lime, lavender, and cream), Peanut Butter Stroopwafel (Chica~Chida Peanut Butter Tequila, agave, tobacco bitters, and stroopwafel), and Plaid on Pineapple (Buchanan’s Pineapple, Drambuie, Grand Marnier, lemon, and first press pineapple.)

If a guest doesn’t see something on the menu, the team is open to requests.

“We pride ourselves in being a bar that can make any drink if we have the ingredients, so please feel free to come in and order whatever you feel like,” said Jacobson.

Lately the bar staff has been enjoying creating spritz cocktails (like the Sarti Spritz and Hugo Spritz) and coming up with shots like Jacobson’s new favorite, the Jelly Donut.

As far as atmosphere goes, there is open seating, two snugs for privacy, and a fan favorite—the patio. Adorned with its own full bar, the outdoor setup is a hot spot for happy hour and live music in the summer.

“OUR VISION IS TO KEEP MCNALLY’S A FUN NEIGHBORHOOD PUB WITH GREAT FOOD, ACCOMPANIED WITH GREAT SERVICE AND DRINKS.”
JOSH JACOBSON

“Something McNally’s has always been known for is our live music, and we’re keeping that tradition alive,” said Jacobson. “We’ll have live music almost every weekend both Friday and Saturday year round.”

When summer season ends, the music will continue indoors with everything from modern rock to country to Irish music.

Jacobson has been with McNally’s for 14 years, and says he’s worked with some of the best people in the industry.

“I like to draw from those positive influences while infusing my own way of doing things with the ultimate goal of giving Sioux Falls not only a fun and lively pub experience, but also a quality, reliable place to sit for dinner and drinks with family, friends, and colleagues,” he said.
