Liv Med Spa was created by family nurse practitioner (NP) Kasandra Wheeler as a means to not only help people look their best, but feel their best.
What was a part time venture while she worked as an NP has exponentially grown into the full time med spa it is today.
“Over the course of the last three years it has grown so much, and I really enjoy being able to be in a place where people can come to Liv Med Spa and receive services that not only boost their confidence, but help improve their health,” said Wheeler.
One of Wheeler’s goals is to get patients started on preventative skin care services so they feel healthy and confident.
“I found it hard to understand which services would be beneficial for me to maintain the health of my skin and age gracefully without spending a fortune on unnecessary services,” she revealed.
Wheeler had two kids at the time she started her business, and took it upon herself to research the best ways to treat her skin.
“I decided ‘I’m just gonna learn how to do it,’” added Wheeler. “I spent years studying, going to advanced trainings, and gaining an understanding of preventative options I could offer others.”
She found there was still more needed and couldn’t ignore the gap in the current market, so she decided to fill the gap.

Liv Med Spa use the brands Xeomin, Jeuveau, Botox, and Dysport.
“There were no businesses open after five o’clock,” said Wheeler. “As a working mom, even if I wanted to go get something done, there was nothing available.”
At that moment, Wheeler’s business started to take shape as she put her dreams, ambitions, and education into action.
“I wanted to be open after hours,” said Wheeler. “I wanted to invest in my skin, and I saw there was a demand for people wanting the same.”
Wheeler’s dreams of Liv Med Spa came into fruition with specific priorities from the get-go. She wanted to prioritize the comfort of patients and ensure educated and informed decision making.
Intimidation and fear is the last thing patients should be feeling in this setting, Wheeler adds.
“I want my business to feel really welcoming when people come to see us,” added Wheeler. “I felt a little bit intimidated when I went to a med spa for the first time because there’s so many options and all of the services are really expensive.”

Liv Med Spa offers a wide variety of treatments, such as injectables like Botox, biostimulants, helping activate the body’s natural collagen production, microneedling, chemical peels, medical grade skin care, and more.
“We also do vitamin injections like Vitamin B12 and weight loss medications,” added Wheeler.
The newest and highest quality technology is used at Liv Med Spa, says Wheeler. The Pico Laser is used for tattoo removal, and also removes stubborn tattooed brows.
“The Pico Laser is considered the gold standard for tattoo removal, and that’s why we chose it,” added Wheeler. “It’s going to do tattoo removal in probably half as many sessions as the older technologies.”
The laser also treats wrinkles, scars, and hyper pigmentation by using ultra-short pulses of sound waves delivered precisely to the skin, elaborates Wheeler.
Along with light technology, biotechnology—like exosomes or plant derived stemcells—is utilized at the med spa.

Self care and comfort should be things that go hand-in-hand, and investing in beauty doesn’t mean sacrificing comfort, Wheeler elaborates.
“There’s a variety of topical stem cells available now, and we’re finding they are very regenerative and anti-inflammatory in nature,” said Wheeler. “By using these topical stem cells, you’ll have better results.”

“My business is named after my daughter, Livia, and that is the foundation,” explained Wheeler. “How do we take care of our health so we can take care of others?”
She continued, “As a mother, I really want caregivers to have a place to come, fill their cups, and feel confident and comfortable in their own skin so they can carry out their work and family life.”
