When I found out one of the newest eateries in Rapid City was in a basement, I must admit I raised an eyebrow. Then when I found out it was in the basement in the historic Fairmont Creamery Building, my eyebrow returned to its neutral position.
The Sandwich Shop – Nummies on 2nd is a place that states it has healthy, affordable sandwiches with gluten-free soup. But don’t forget the “Nummies.” We’ll get to those in a second.
Walking into the building, I saw the signage hanging above the stairwell. I feared for a moment I would be heading into a sandwich dungeon, but was pleasantly surprised when I got downstairs.
