With access to the Sioux Falls Convention Center and the Denny Sanford Premier Center, the Sheraton is perfect for a trip to Sioux Falls or to grab a bite or drink before or after an event. 605 stopped by Water’s Edge Lounge in the hotel’s open atrium to see their version of the Old Fashioned, and to try the (delicious) Falling Water Grille.
Basil Hayden Old Fashioned
- 2 Oz. Basil Hayden Bourbon
- 2 Dashes Angostura Bitters
- 1 Sugar cube
- Club soda
- Drop sugar cube in a cocktail glass.
- Add a few dashes of bitters and two drops of water.
- Muddle all together.
- Add bourbon and then add ice.
- Splash in a couple of drops of cherry juice from cherry and club soda.
- Top with a cherry and enjoy!
¾ C Lump crab meat
5 Slices sourdough bread
½ C Mayo
¼ Tsp Granulated Garlic
¼ Tsp Dill
¼ Tsp Old Bay, plus a pinch for fish seasoning
¼ Tsp Sriracha
¼ Tsp Dried tarragon
¼ T Balsamic vinegar
3 Drops of Tabasco
1 8-10 oz. Walleye
Rough chop crab meat.
Run bread through a food processor until it is crumb consistency.
Add all ingredients except tarragon together in a bowl.
Skin walleye, then place on a cutting board skin side up, and cut in half lengthwise.
Season with Old Bay and tarragon.
Make a circle with the filet and secure ends with two toothpicks.
Place filling in the middle of the circle.
Cook in oven for 14 minutes at 350 degrees.
¼ C Heavy cream
¼ T Lobster base
1 Oz. Freshly grated parmesan cheese
Combine cream and base and bring to a boil.
Gradually add parmesan until sauce thickens.
