WINE ON THE RAILS

June 26. 1880 Train, Hill City. 6:45 p.m. Check out the newest ride departing from the Hill City Station: Wine on the Rails! This event brings together local wine, live entertainment, and a scenic ride through the Black Hills. JEWEL CAVE 200 MILE CELEBRATION

June 28-30. Jewel Cave National Monument, Custer. All day. Join Black Hills Parks & Forests Association, Paha Sapa Grotto, and the South Dakota community in celebrating Jewel Cave, cave exploration, and discoveries on the local level. Guest speakers and activities like a Cave Maze and a Cave Simulator will have you searching for you digging supplies. More info: blackhillsparks.org.

DUB FAM FEST

June 29. Terrace Park, Sioux Falls. 4 p.m. Head to Terrace Park this Saturday to jam with El Dub, original members of Lunar Funk Theory, and Strawberry (Jessie Mae). This family friendly event will also introduce El Dub’s newest CD called “Family“. More info: facebook.com.

NORTHWESTERN MUTUAL .5K CURE CANCER DONUT DASH

June 29. Cherry Rock Park, Sioux Falls. 9 a.m. Join Northwestern Mutual and Fernson Brewing Company to raise money to cure cancer. Not a runner? Crawl, dance, and walk your way across the finish line to free beer, donuts, and a community helping each other out. More info: facebook.com.

2019 ARCHEOLOGY AWARENESS DAYS

June 29-30. Mitchell Prehistoric Indian Village, Mitchell. All day. Feeling a little like Fred Flintstone? Make your way to Mitchell for the 20th Annual Archeology Days, which celebrates the world as it was 1,000 years ago. Classes, guest speakers, and games will fill these two days, bringing you back to the times of dino bones and cave men. More info: mitchellindianvillage.org.
