With so many events taking place in South Dakota, we understand how it can be overwhelming to remember them all. We’ve decided to highlight our favorite things happening week by week, focusing on unique, fun, and creative events across the state.

SANFORD INTERNATIONAL

September 16-22. Minnehaha Country Club, Sioux Falls. All day. Join 18-time PGA Champion Jack Nicklaus and two-time winner Dave Stockton at the Sanford International. This tournament highlights golf stars who have made a difference within their local and international communities. this event will benefit Sanford Health Foundation, a charity that focuses on delivering hope and health to the upper Midwest. BIG BAND CABARET

September 19-20. Icon Lounge + Events, Sioux Falls. 8 p.m. Head to Icon Lounge + Events in Sioux Falls to relive the best of the best from the Jazz age and on. The Good Night Theatre Collective will bring big band stars back to life with their 2019-2020 season debut. More info: goodnighttheatre.com.

SPECIAL OLYMPICS FALL CLASSIC

September 20-22. Star of the West Complex, Rapid City. Times vary. Headed back to the west side of the state is the Special Olympics Fall Classic, which will feature competitions in Bocce Ball, Slow-Pitch, and Tee Ball. Come on our to support the dedication and teamwork from some of our favorite athletes. More info: sosd.org.

SMITHSONIAN MUSEUM DAY

September 21. Days of ’76 Museum, Deadwood. All day. Partnering with the Smithsonian Museum, as well as tons of museums nationwide, the Days of ’75 Museum will be open free of charge. PARKER'S BISTRO 10TH ANNIVERSARY CELEBRATION
