5 Questions with Burmeister

WHAT ADVICE DO YOU HAVE FOR PEOPLE COMING INTO A CELLONLY STOREFRONT?

Come in with an open mind. Some people are very anxious about coming into a cell phone store. We make it a fun, laid-back experience. Everyone I work with is very personable and friendly.

WHAT’S YOUR PREFERENCE FOR YOUR CELLULAR DEVICE?

Well, I’ve had my fair share. My current device is an iPhone 12 Pro, which I’ve been happy with. I have had androids in the past as well. I always say there is no one phone that is better than the other. All the operating systems have great features to offer—it just depends on the person.

WHAT’S YOUR FAVORITE LOCATION TO FREQUENT WHEN YOU AREN’T WORKING?

Besides home? Sioux Falls has a lot to offer. Right now would probably be the Gateway Lounge. My husband and I like to meet up with friends. It’s a great place to grab a bite, have a beer, and watch football.

WHAT ARE SOME OF YOUR FAVORITE PLACES IN SIOUX FALLS?

Downtown also always has a lot to offer. My husband and I like taking the dogs on walks through the parks and Outdoor Campus at Sertoma Park.

WHAT IS THE BEST PART OF EVERY DAY?

Coming home to my family [is the best part of the day]. My husband and our two dogs are always there, excited to welcome me home. We lounge around for the first 30 minutes or so, talking about our days.
