1.) Deadwood’s Big Whiskey

Deadwood’s Big Whiskey Festival will boast more than 30 different whiskeys from all over the world. This event will take place at several different locations throughout Deadwood. Tickets will allow you 15 samples of a variety of whiskeys, rye, scotch and bourbon.

2.) Mountain West Beer Fest

Sample over 200 different craft beers from local, regional, and national breweries at the Mountain West Beer Fest. Come see industry experts at South Dakota’s largest beer festival while enjoying craft beers, food trucks, and bar games all in downtown Rapid City. Other festivities for the day include Human Foosball, Corn Hole, and Beer Yoga.

3.) Winterfest

November 19-20 | The Aberdeen Civic Center | Aberdeen | Times Vary

The Aberdeen Civic Center will be hosting its 44th Annual Winterfest. Celebrate fine art and enjoy entertainment and great food while finding a variety of various art forms like fine and folk arts as well as one of a kind unique gifts for even the hardest people to buy for on your list.

4.) Parade of Lights

November 25 | Downtown | Sioux Falls | 7:30 p.m.

Kickoff the holiday season with the 30th Annual Sioux Falls Parade of Lights. Holiday floats, festive decorations, and thousands of lights will line downtown Sioux Falls to welcome the joy of the holiday season. Bring the whole family and enjoy the sights, sounds, and one of a kind floats and displays.

5.) 1880 Train Holiday Express

November 25-26 | Hill City Station | Hill City | Times Vary

Take a one hour round trip from Hill City to the “North Pole” on the 1880 Train. Bring the entire family to enjoy hot cocoa and a sugar cookie as you make the journey to see Santa and Mrs. Claus, or join them on the 21+ Holiday Express Spiked where passengers enjoy spiked hot cocoa (and sugar cookies, of course.)

6.) Festival of Lights

November 26 | Downtown | Rapid City | 6 p.m.

See downtown Rapid City and Main Street Square get festive during the 24th Annual Festival of Lights. From horse drawn carriages and amazing light displays, to ice skating and cups of hot cocoa, feel the holiday spirit as downtown Rapid City comes to life.
