The 605 Show went live from Thinker Networks with Rose Speirs from Deadwood History, and Daymon Woodruff from Sturgis Buffalo Chip.

Hosts Dan Card and Alana Snyder discussed statewide some events to attend in July, such as the Days of ‘76 Rodeo and the South Dakota Chislic Festival, and talked more about the July Issue of 605 Magazine. Alana went on to talk about 605’s trip to Watertown’s annual Cooking on Kampeska event.

Rose Speirs from Deadwood History joined the conversation to talk about the 104 year history of prostitution in Deadwood, South Dakota. Speirs gives Dan and Alana a brief history of The Brothel including its impact on the economy, the closing of the institution in 1980, and the opening of the museum in 2020.

Daymon Woodruff from Sturgis Buffalo Chip told us all about the Best Party on the Planet–the Sturgis Bike Rally. He tells us about some of his favorite memories at the rally and the Death Wire Daredevil Spectacular event occuring on August 10.

Tune in to hear what Alana’s son Owen is doing in The Brothel, hear about the bike rally’s entertainment lineup, and play a game of Sturgis and Deadwood trivia.

A special thanks to our guests, Thinker Networks, and to our viewers!
